What are the signs and symptoms of asthma?

A
  • Polyphonic wheeze
  • Breathlessness
  • Cough – worse in morning and at night
  • Precipitating factors – e.g. cold, drugs (beta blocker, NSAIDs), exercise
  • Atopic history
  • Tachypnoea
  • Use of accessory muscles
  • Prolonged expiratory phase
  • Hyperinflated chest
