Square-ish/boxy shaped bones

Thin smooth plate-like bones
What are irregular bones?
Non-typical shaped bones
What are sesamoid bones?
Bones attached by tendons rather than ligaments
What is the yellow skin like layer of the bone called?
Periosteum
What is the protective part of the bone called?
Compact
What is the spongy part filled with air pockets of the bone called?
Spongy
What do red/yellow marrow produce?
Red: All blood cells
Yellow: Fat
