Sim Clinic Flashcards
____ lesions are smooth-surface lesions found on proximal surfaces of anterior teeth which do not involve the incisal corners
Class III lesions are smooth-surface lesions found on proximal surfaces of anterior teeth which do not involve the incisal corners
What class of lesions are present here
Class III lesions
How are Class III lesions usually detected clinically?
detected easily with an explorer probe or by transillumination.
Anterior radiographs can also be used to diagnose these lesions but are not routinely done for the reasons stated above
Which approach is preferred for Class III lesions and when can this approach be contraindicted?
Lingual approach is preferred but Labial approach is indicated only when the caries lesion already involves that surface or the adjacent tooth overlaps & blocks access from the Lingual aspect
Describe the Class III preparation criteria
