18
Q

What is most of the breast?

A

Tubuloalveolar glands for milk production and fat

Central, Lateral, apical, Subscapular, pectoral

22
Q

Which portion of breast do most tumors start in?

A

50% of all tumors originate in the superior lateral portion of breast

23
Q

Impingement Syndrome

A

Rubbing and clicking of shoulder on overhead motion.
Ball of shoulder rubs against ledge (Acromium) over shoulder. Associated with tendinitis and rotator cuff problems.
i. Treatment
Anti-inflammatory medicine, Cortisone Injection, Surgery to shave Acromium

24
Q

Dislocation

A

Ball of shoulder pops out of socket.
Treatment
Reduction - Anesthesia is frequently required, Sling for 3-4 weeks, Exercises, Surgery to repair shoulder after 2nd or 3rd dislocation

25
Q

Shoulder Separation

A

Injury to A-C joint; collarbone is displaced from top of
shoulder.
Treatment
Rest and sling, X-rays, Surgery may be necessary if severe

26
Q

Rotator Cuff Tear

A

Injury to muscle and tendon that covers and raises shoulder. Symptoms include shoulder pain and inability to raise shoulder
Treatment
1. Rest, Medicine, MRI if no better, Surgery to repair large tear
