How do you define identity, behavior, and attraction in the context of sex and in the umbrella category of sexual orientation?
Identity: how a person self-defines or labels their sexuality
Behavior: gender of a person’s sexual and romantic partners
Attraction: gender a person is attracted to
Define transgender
People identify and/or express their gender as opposite of their biologic birth sex; or people who define themselves as having no true gender or they have elements of multiple genders
How should we approach the terms sexual orientation and gender identity
THEY ARE DIFFERENT: transgender is a person’s gender identity and expression, but not referring to gender to which they’re attracted
Define intersex in general
Individuals with variety of conditions involving anomalies of the sex chromosomes, gonads, repro ducts, and genitalia
