What is the first line management option for genital warts, depending on if they are solitary/keratinised or multiple / non-keratinised?

A

1st line - solitary, keratinised - cryotherapy

1st line if multiple / non-keratinised - topical podophyllum

(2nd line options are topical imiqimoid)

NOTE - most anogenital warts self-resolve within 1-2 years

Which strains of HPV typically cause anogenital warts?

A

Mainly type 6 and 11 but can be caused by upto 40 strains

Physical warts normally appear upto 3-6 months after initial infection although can arise several years after infection

What is the first line management of confirmed chlamydia infection (and what’s first line if the patient is pregnant)?

A

1st line = Doxycycline 100mg BD for 7/7

Azithromycin 1g stat then 500mg OD for 2/7 alternative if pregnant
