Sherrif department
What are the common methods of services?
NOthing on the test, but will be asked to help everyone once in a while.
Likely help with evictions, suppoenas
How do you serve an individual?
Does it change if the individual is a minor or disabled?
Serve to the guardian, same
How do your serve a business or governmental agency?
Serve the managing partner etc.
What are the limitations on service of civil process?
Can only mediate or refer to Sherrif department. Take the report, provide the case number, and give to the victim. Be mindful of potential liability.
Define how to serve a supoena?
Find the individual, and serve the subpeonas at their house or work.
What are the consequences of improper service?
Possible bench warrant for arrest or fines.
