A

Violence that enters a relationship when there is conflict that turns angry and then becomes violent.

  • The most common form of intimate violence.
  • Often a isolated incident that is nonrecurring
  • Likely to be perpetrated by women and men
  • Normally, no one is in fear of the other

Define Intimate terrorism aka. intimate partner abuse.

A

Is when the abuser terrorizes the victim and takes complete control of the relationship through intimidation, economic control, threats, isolation, use of privilege, and psychological abuse.

  • Abuse is ongoing and ranges from moderate to severe
  • Victims eventually fear their partner
