Indications
A
- Maintenance treatment of asthma in patients receiving inhaled or oral corticosteroids
- Maintenance treatment of COPD

2 inhalations twice daily

SE’s
A
mostly due to effect of shifting K+ intracellularly, i.e. causing hypokalaemia:
- tremor
- palpitations, tachycardia
- hyperglycaemia (high doses) muscle cramps
- agitation
- hyperactivity in children

Counselling
A
- Do not use this drug to relieve symptoms of an asthma attack; use short-acting reliever instead.
- Use this medicine every day even if you are feeling better.
- Make sure that your doctor has given you an asthma management plan.
- Tell your doctor if you need to use this medicine in higher doses or more frequently than prescribed.
- Use a spacer with MDI
