How many cc on 737-800
4 (one for every 50 seats or fraction off)
CC positions
No 1 - Fwd j/s L1 door outboard
No 2 - aft j/s L2 door inboard
No 3 - aft j/s R2 door inboard
No 4 - fwd j/s R1 door inboard
Report time
45 mins from STD
No 1 will brief CC and CPT will brief all the crew members
When should crew go to the aircraft
35 mins from STD and carry out PDIs of SEP equipment and full security check completed
No 4 goes directly to the boarding gate on a first wave

How to do the headcount and who does it
No 1 counts the first 5 rows and No 2 counts the last 5 rows
Once the headcount is completed
Headcount is passed to disptacher and No 1 activates the kill switch and closes the f/d door and then the L1 door
Who tells the cc to arm slides and cross check

How do the cc inform the flight crew the pax are seated
No 1 informs the cc by pressing 1+ent before push back can commence
How to indicate to the cc that it is safe to leave j/s
a hi/lo “attendant” button chime
When is the seatbelt sign switched off
10,000ft and left off until 15,000ft descending
When will the cc call the f/d
Every 20mins unless a PA has been made then it will be 20mins from the PA - made by the No 1
What height for cc 10 mins to l/d

How to tell the f/d cabin is secure for l/d
No 1 presses 1 + ENT
When is the disarm slides call is made?
When the parking brake is set and engines are shutdown and seatbelt sign is off. Will be relayed by the CPT
Operation of emergency lighting systems (ELS)
3 ways
Automatically - Illuminate once aircraft power has been lost
Electrically - system controlled by a switch in the f/d OFF/ARMED/ON
Manually - can be activated by the cc by using the ELS switch situated on the rear CSA panel. - No 2 is responisble
Master call panel light colours
Blue - PAX callbell from seat
Amber - PAX callbell from toilet
Pink - F/d callbell
PDIs on the f/d door - cc and f/d
No 1 checks the “emergency access code” unlocks door
F/d - checks the deny feature is operational
Who must notify all cc of the emergency access code
No 1
F/d emergency access panel colours
Red light - door locked
Amber light - correct code has been entered
Green light - f/d door has been unlocked
PAX and service doors
Front main PAX door - L1 front left
Front service door - R1 fron right
Rear pax dorr - L2 rear left
Rear service door - R2 rear right
To open the door from the inside
Doors maybe opened at the CPTs command
- Rotate the operating handle towards the rear of the a/c
- Grasp the door assist handle amd push the door out and towards the front of the a/c
- Ensure the gust lock engages
Apron slide and operation
When the slide inflates and then deflates
- 2 ABPs climb down the slide using the handles
- They hold the slide straight and away from the aircraft at the bottom for the pax to evacuate
- Once the PAX are on the ground the ABPs shall direct them away from the a/c
Evacuation command = “SIT AND SLIDE”
If a slide fails to inflate it cannot be used
Operation of windows in f/d
To open..
Squeeze the lock release handle
Rotate the handle inwards
Slide the window aft until its fully open
To close
Slide the metal hook forward
slide the window forward
squeeze lock release in the handle
roate handle outwards
ensure window is closed
Only the right hand f/d window can be opened from the outside
To evacuate through the window in f/d
Open the access panel
Pull on the escape rope to ensure it is securely attached
Holding onto the escape rope, evacuate using the leg, body, leg method and lower yourself to the ground
Fire gloves and PDI
Made of heat resistant not fire proof material
PDI
1. Stowage
2. Quanity (4 on RYR a/c)
3. No scortch marks
4 One left glove and one right glove
Can dispatch with 3 but must have 1 in f/d and 2 in the pax cabin
Missing gloves shall be recorded in the aircraft tech log no later than 10 sectors
Torch and PDIs
Will last for min 30 mins, max 4 hours
PDI
1. stowage
2. quantity
3. red light flashes at not more than 10 secs intervals ( more than 10secs = low battery)
Fire extingusher and PDIs
Halon/ Halotron
PDI

3. pressure must be in servicable band
4. pin secure in handle
Fire extingusher operation
- remove pin
- hold upright
- hand under handle and thumb on top of lever, squeeze lever down with thumb
- test squirt
- direct at base of fire
- short sharp bursts
