Q

What is adaptation?

A

When variations that enable an animal a better chance of survival in a changing environment are passed on. This enables the animal a better chance of survival and therefore the trait is passed on and becomes more common in a specific species.

Q

What is selective breeding ?

A

Selective breeding is a process in which humans artificially select traits to become more prominent in groups of animals. This helps to produce animals with desirable characteristics for specific purposes.

This non random mating leads to an overall change on the genotype of the population over many generations.
