What are seizure medications?
Also known as antiepileptic drugs or anticonvulsants, used to treat seizure disorders known as epilepsy,some seizure meds have other indications such as migraine headache prevention and bipolar disorder treatment.
how do seizure medications work?
in general, work by changing the way brain cells(neurons) send messages with substances called neurotransmitters and how signals move in and out the the brain cells(e.g. voltage, dependant sodium and calcium channels, sv2a protein, gaba inhibitory neurotransmitter)
