What are H2 antagonists?(H2 blockers) “generic Idine”
Work by blocking the action of histamine at the histamine 2 receptors at the parietal cells of the stomach to reduce stomach acid, indicated for treatment/prevention of ulcers and GERD/acid reflux symptoms

What are proton pump inhibitors? “generic Prazole”
Work by blocking the final step in stomach acid productions by irreversably binding to the proton pump of the gastric parietal cells, used in the treatment and prevention of ulcers/Gerd, they are better at stopping acid than H2 antagonists

Prilosec (Proton pump inhibitor indicated for reduction of acic, Ulcers, and GERD

Esomeprazole

indicated for nausea, vomiting and motion sickness

Work by blocking Histamine 1 receptors in the brain than can cause nausea and vomiting and motion sickness
Promethazine
Phenergan(Antihistamine antiemetics indicated for reduction of nausea, vomiting and motion sickness
5- h3t antagonists
Work by blocking serotonin receptors in the brain that can cause nausea and vomiting.
Meclizine
Antivert(Antihistamine antiemetics indicated for reduction of nausea, vomiting and motion sickness
Odansetron
Zofran(5-h3t antagonists indicated for motion sickness.)

increase the amount of water the stool absorbs in the gut, lax type may be used prior to GI procedures as prep
