IC’s responsibilities when establishing sectors at an incident?

A
  • IC will nominate and brief each Sector and Operations commander (DMM)
  • IC is responsible for the tactical mode of the whole incident.

Sector commander responsibilities?

A
  • Takes charge of Operational or Functional sector
  • Is responsible for management of resources within their sector
  • Report directly to the IC or Operations commander as appropriate.
  • Functional sectors must report to the IC, unless a Sector commander Command support has been established.

A

Yes they can be.

High rise sectorisation?

A

Vertical and external. Emphasis placed heavily on both after Grenfell.
Lobby sector - upto and including the Bridgehead
Fire sector - one floor below and above the fire floor.
Search sector - everything above the fire sector.

What is a functional sector?

A

Water/Marshalling/salvage etc.

Everything other than an Ops sector.
