At FSG incidents, what is available to record information?
- FSG forms on all appliances.
- Casualty information poster/FIB’s
- FSG Co-ordinator, collate/record/retain information
- IC to explain lines of communication & limits of authority to FSG co-ordinator. (FSG advice)
What should be the 1st actions of a designated FSG co-ordinator?
Speak to supervisor at FIREcontrol to gather latest information & progress of FSG.
How can ‘life threatening critical information’ be passed from the incident ground?
By use of the “Command unit critical” phone.
At a large scale FSG incident what maybe required? And information would need to be shared with whom?
A search co-ordinator would be required. And an information exchange strategy would need to be established
What are the communications lines open to FIREcontrol from the incident ground?
- Main scheme airwave radio channel 2 or 4
- If resources allow, Ops channel 1 (large scale FSG)
- Brigade mobile phones
- Fixed phones on CU’s
- CSS conference facility
- “Command unit critical” phone line
- CU fax machine
