  1. A precise description of the skill to be taught
  2. A brief written description of the skills to be taught
  3. Demonstration- A trainer to model the scale and the closest approximation of the conditions in which the scale will be utilized
  4. Learning through video models
  5. Practice and learn through role-play
  6. A trainer to observe the individual performing the skill in the training setting as well as the job setting- rehearsal
  7. A trainer providing immediate positively minded performance feedback
  8. Repeat the process until mastery
