What is ATC clearance
Authorisation to proceed under conditions specified.
May an airfield controller issue ATC clearance to join CAS?
No - only cleared by CAS controlling Authority
What is the procedure for a pilot wishing to join an airway?

Request clearance when 10 mins flying time away
Pilots must have flow control authorisation if required.

May civil aircraft cross the base of an airway without ATC clearance?
Yes, civil aircraft may cross at right angles across an enroute airway where the lower limit is defined as a flight level
How can an airways joining clearance be obtained?
From the controlling authority via the ATSU that the aircraft is working.
From the FIR controller.
On the published freq of the Airway controlling Authority

What is the composition of the night LFS?
Class G airspace. Surface to 2000'amsl. laterally to FIR boundaries. Excludes DA's RA's MATZ and ATZ. Civil traffic may be encountered.
20 low flying areas, TVAA, 6 DUA’s, 3 TTA’s
Allocated Regions & RW Regions;
5 AR’s subdivided into 20 night sectors
RWR is subdivided into NRR. TVAA is part of the RWR plus additional regulations.
When is a military aircraft considered to be low flying?
FW incl. tucano but excl. prop A/C: below 2000' except: when directed by ATC Departure/Arrival Emergency PFL
Light Prop (excl Tucano) and RW: Below 500' except when directed by ATC Departure/Arrival HLS Emergency PFL
What is MSD
Minimum Separation Distance; authorised minu=imum separation between any part of an A/C in flight and the ground, water or obstacle.
