What is the NAVEDTRA for Navy School management?
NAVEDTRA 135
List all 6 of the training organization.
OPNAV- Approves training, as long as it is aligned with the Navy’s Strategic Goals; Human Resources, Education, and Training.
NETC- Builds the training that OPNAV approves.
LEARNING CENTERS - Monitors the quality of curriculum, instruction, and eval functions.
LEARNING STANDARDS OFFICER - Ensures quality training. Our LSO is LT Hall.
COURSE CURRICULUM MODEL MANAGER (CCMM) - Develops, Revises, and Maintains courses of instruction. Our CCMM is Mr. Terry Schmalgemeier.

What is CANTRAC and CeTARS and what are they used for?
CANTRAC - Is an online publication of NAVY COURSES.
CeTARS - you can manage, view, and track student information.
What is a CIN and why we use it?
A CIN is a number that identifies a Navy Course.

2ND SEGMENT: SKILL DEFENSE GROUP
3RD SEGMENT: SEQUENCE IDENTIFIER
What is a CDP?
A Code identifies the location of a course. IE: It’s zip code.
EXAMPLE: You have two “A” schools, they teach the same curriculum. They are just in 2 locations. The CDP code differentiates whether that school is on the East Coast, West Coast.
What’s the difference A, C, and F schools?
A SCHOOL - Basic Knowledge; you get your rate.
C SCHOOL - Advanced Knowledge; you get your NEC.
F SCHOOL - Functional School; you get certifications. IE DAPA, CFS, QAO
Explain PEVT and where it is found?
A PEVT indicates a student’s status in CeTARS. IE 741, 711, 747, 717
NOTE: It is not a division code, it’s the category the student is placed in.
When is an ARB convened and what is its purpose ?
ACADEMIC REVIEW BOARD (ARB) - Are convened after Counseling, remediation, and setback have failed to improved the students performance.
What is a MASTER RECORD AUDIT TRAIL and who is responsible for it?
CCMM (COURSE CURRICULUM MODEL MANAGER) - The Master Record Audit Trail contains a summary of major impacts that happen in a course. IE: Changes, Revisions
Describe the evaluation of instructors in different environments.
Instructor’s evaluation must be proportionate with the environments they teach in. IE: 90% classroom setting, 10% laboratory setting.
Explain the importance of an FCR.
FORMAL COURSE REVIEW (FCR) are a great source of internal feedback. They are kept in an audit trail for two review cycles.
When is an FCR conducted ?
FORMAL COURSE REVIEWS are conducted Annually, Bi- Annually, Tri -Annually, BUT will; not exceed THREE years.
