Define Sanctification.
Sanctification relates to our position in Christ and is the process by which we can live a Spirit-filled life
Set apart from sin/death - Set apart to God (Rom 8:9)

What is the relationship between JUSTIFICATION and SANCTIFICATION?
Justification is the legal standing. It starts sanctity.
Sanctification is the active process you engage in to live out that transformation. Live out your “new man”

What is the relationship between regeneration and sanctification?
Rengeration is birth or new life (2 Cor. 5:17)
Sanctification is growth and transformation (2 Cor. 3:18)

In what way is progression connected with experiential sanctification?
Essentially they are the same.
It’s how our regenerated life unfolds as we seek to be more like Jesus (Gal 2:20, 1 Thess. 5:23)
Living out the new life in Christ; becoming mature in our faith (Eph. 4)

In what way is the believer “dead to sin and alive to God?”
We are dead to sin and made alive and new through the resurrection of Jesus - Romans 6
Dead to old nature…alive to all that Christ is now doing in me! - Gal 2:20

What is the practical significance of sanctification to the Christ-follower’s lifestyle?
We are able to realize our full potential in Christ; fruit of the Spirit - Gal. 5
Live out our potetinal within the body of Christ - 1 Cor 12

What is meant by positional sanctification and progressive sanctification, and how is “crisis” connected to the two?
Positional - set apart at conversion (Gal 5:16)
Crisis - A complete realization that we must rely on Christ. He must be Lord. Moves us from positional to progressive
Progressive - is the ongoing work of the Spirit to make us more and more like Christ.
