All revelation must be dealt with using the Canon of Scripture as the guidelines for ultimate truth. Any new revelation cannot conflict with Scripture.
3 of 7 - What is the relationship between Scripture and divine guidance?
- Jesus promises the Holy Spirit (John 14)
- God provided Scripture and the Holy Spirit divinely guides us into all truth. (John 16:13)
4 of 7 - What does the term “scrptural lnerrancy” mean to you?
Original manuscripts were inerrant as given by God.
God breathed - 2 Tim. 3:16
Prophets chosen by God to speak for Him as inspired by H.S. - 2 Peter 1:21
5 of 7 - What criteria was used for determining which books were included/excluded in the canon of Scripture?
OT - written, editted, endorsed by prophets
NT - written by an apostle,
- teaches about Jesus, accepted by early church counsels.
- Implicit Trust that God has guided this process
6 of 7 - Explain Relationship between Word of God and Scripture.
Scripture is God’s Word - via divine special revelation and recorded via inspiration. (2 Tim. 3:16 - God breathed)

- Living & Active (Hebrews 4)
- It teaches, rebukes, corrects, trains (2 Tim. 3:16)
