Random sampling
Every member of the target population has an equal chance of being selected
Opportunity sampling
Taking the sample of people who are available at the time, and fit the criteria
Volunteer sampling
Self-selected. Volunteer when asked
Systematic sampling
Predetermined system of how to select the sample
Stratified sampling
Putting population into groups then choosing a sample from each group in the same proportion as the population
Time sampling
Behavior is noted down at pre-decided times- Observations
Event sampling
Behavior is noted down when it happens- no matter what time- Observations
