Q
  1. What is the purpose and application of FOR INFO on AML completions?
A
  1. FOR INFO can provide information to engineering using the AML where no defect exists but the FLight Crew believes the information would be useful.
  • The information must preceed with the term FOR INFO. e.g. FOR INFO Ram Door Open light on in flight.
  • Completion of Summary of Deferred Defects as per standard. FOR INFO only text requireed in the details of the Deferred Defect section. NO requirement to complete CRS.

Q
  1. Uncommanded Engine Operations:
    * What cockpit indication would necessitate the actioning of Uncommanded Engine Operation Memory Items?
    * What is the acceptable TQ fluctuation & would not require the memory items to be completed?
A
  • If aircraft was recieving actual power variations, which would be any combination of fluctuations of TQ, ITT, Ng, Np, and Fuel Flow. Likely accompanied with aircraft yaw/roll and changes in engine noises. ( a single fuel flow gauge indicating zero or flucuating without any other associated indications does not require use of uncommanded engine ops procedure).

memeory items:
1. P/L - reduce to 20 - 30% (If TRQ indication lost or unreliable, set PL half inch approx 12mm above flight idle)
2. Condition lever - T/M then SET.
3. Autocoarsen - OFF.

  • Up to 3% in the form of oscillation or minor movements repeatedly are acceptable, IF fluctuations disppear after Power Level, Ng or CL adjustment.
