    Secure in bracket.

  4. 1 outlet 120 minutes, 2 outlets 60 minutes.
  5. Avoid grease or oil (explosion).
    Dont use near open flame.
    Wipe heavy makeup off persons face (grease based makeup can ignite).
    Handle bottles with care ( dont drop).
  6. RITE.
    Remove dust cover.
    insert metal connector of mask to bottle.
    turn valve fully anti clockwise.
    ensure oxygen is flowing using flow indicator.

  2. Diluted mixes ambient air with 100% oxygen.
  3. Emergency selector supplies 100% continuous oxtgen flow.
  4. Should always be on 100% oxygen (slid closest to the face).

Smoke Mask:

  1. Forward Cabin.
  2. Contained in sealed bag and undamaged.
  3. Dangerous goods spill or tending to passengers during smoke event.
  4. Roughly 20 min (on demand) or 10 min (constant flow).
    • Sling 310L bottle across bottle, wearing it in front of torso.
    • insert mask connector to bottle outlet.
    • turn on/off regulator fully anti-clockwise.
    • Purge smoke mask by pressing emergency selctor to ensure oxygen is flowing.
    • Put on mask and tighten all 5 straps.
    • Use emergency selctor to regulate flow of oxygen = full anti clockwise is constant flow, fully clockwise is on demand.

    • Nozzle.
    • indicator disc.
    • Pressure guage.
    • operating handle (trigger).
    • Safety catch.
  2. Secure in bracket and needle in the green or indicator disc present (one or the other).

* Hold upright and remove safety catch.
* Squeeze trigger with palm of hand.
* discharge entire bottle in sweeping motion (except waste bin which may not require full amount)
* If fire in cockpit, use 100% oxygen.

  1. 15 seconds.
  2. 3 metres.
    • Avoid firing too close to liquid fires (will spread fire).
    • dont make contact with electrical wires.
    • Use puritan bennett smoke hood to avoid inhaling agent.
    • high concentrations of BCF agent can cause dizziness and impaired coordination.

    * Roll 2 plastic bags down.

    * Place DH inside one bag take off gloves and mask and place in other bag.
    * close first bag squeeze air out and cable tie shut.
    * place first bag in second bag.
    * place bags in tray on floor inside locket toilet/trolley.
  5. follow up contact with flight deck
  6. manage and oversea.

* fire a test shot to ensure extinguisher working.
* Get low and avoid fumes.
* open door and insert nozzel.
* extinguish agent into room and close door.
* wait 1 minute and check for fire and continue as required.
