Playing Turns after Check-Raising
1
Q

A
- Very aggressive on these turns. 7c have 70% betting frequency
- Overbet sizing to build pot. Small size used on flop vs BTN
2
Q
Flush completing Turns - Js6s4d
A
- Small bet size (33%), can bet wide
- Low spades are better
- Value - Keep betting 2pair+ and AsJx (BDFD)
- Bluffs - Equity-driven. KsTx/QsTx
3
Q
Overcard Brick Turns - Js6s4d
A
- Overcards are really bad for our range
- Betting frequency goes down. Still using overbets
- We’re polarized to strong hands and equity driven bluffs (no gutshots)
- 85hh doesn’t bet Ac, but does bet a 2 or 8

Q
Board-Pairing Turns - Js6s4d
A
- Disastrous turns. Range equity and global betting frequency are both very low
- We need to be trapping a lot with value; bluffs are all high-equity
- These boards block our value range, as there are now less combos available for our very strong hands like sets and two pairs

Q
Adjusting vs Tighter Positions - Js6s4d
A
- Things don’t change that much. If turn is really good for your range, bet wide. If turn card is bad, shut down.
- We do raise a fewer airballs on the flop, so overcards and board-pairing turns are even worse
6
Q
Paired Flops - TdTc2h
A
- We check-raise a lot of backdoor draws on this flop,
Q8s/J8s 53s/43s
(hands that unblock A/K high hands that will fold), when they pick up equtity on turn we barrel - Overcard turns are still very bad. Remember to trap with some strong hands
- Favor betting size of 33% or 75%. Villain has lots of trips in his range
7
Q
Disconnected Flops - Ks8d2h
A
- We check-raise a lot of backdoor draws on this flop, as well as thin value -
97dd KJ
- Only 2 out of 47 turns give us more equity that villain. Don’t be afraid to check/fold with air and only use high-equity bluffs
