Rule 2 Flashcards
1
Q
What is rule 2
A
- approach to exposed HV conductors and insulators
2
Q
What is rule 2.1
A
Individuals shall not allow any part of their body or objects to approach with specified SAFETY DISTANCE to expose HV conductors.
3
Q
What is rule 2.2
A
- POI’s established
- HV conductors could still be charged at High voltage
- Only objects permitted to encroach safety distance ( within zone established points of isolation)
- voltage type measuring devices
And
- earthing devices and associated application device.
4
Q
What is rule 2.3a
A
- POI’s established
- danger excluded by application of earthing device WZE POI
- encroachment Within specified SD is permitted under an appropriate safety document
5
Q
What is rule 2.3b.1
A
Encroachment permitted within safety distance without a document
- -POI established for equipment in interlock cages
- NRP to maintain safety distance WZE POI’s
- individuals may encroach no closer than 1 metre from exposed HV conductors for application/removal of (TRD)type registered devices ( R2.2)
- NRP to maintain safety distance WZE POI’s
6
Q
What is rule 2.4
A
Safety distances Up to 33 - 0.8m 66kv - 1 m 132kv - 1.4m 275kv- 2.4m 400kv - 3.1m
- 300mm to be maintained from the part of insulators supporting exposed unearthed HV conductor which are outside specified safety distance.
7
Q
What is 2.3b.2
A
- POI established in indoor 132kv subs WNRP to maintain safety distance WZE POI’s
- individuals may encroach to apply/remove TRD to the bus bar isolators, bus coupler and bus section isolators.
- providing HV conductor to be approached is earth via a fully rated earthing device.
