Entered in the district unit/ admin log, and absence recorded in the district /unit detail book
What must an officer absent for a 10 or more consecutive days due if they did not incur that in the performance of duty?
Shall not be restored to duty until a certificate from an attending physician has been presented to personnel
A, commanding officer can restore him based on the signed certificate, but he hast to notify the personnel division and forward the certification
When does an employee get reassigned to the medically incapacitated section?
After 30 calendar days of absence
Must obtain certificate to return to duty from their physician and shall not be returned until a physician designated by the commissioner has examined the office and determined he capable of doing his duties
Who is responsible for notifying operations when an employee has reported becoming sick or injured during a tour of duty?

What happens if someone is so severely injured that they cannot submit a written report of their injuries?
A superior officer shall be assigned to procure an oral report from the injured officer
What happens of a reoccurrence of injuries?
Officer shall be carried in the time book for ordinary sickleave, pending a medical examination
Commanding officer shall request an immediate examination by the department physician
Who has the ability to return an officer absent for less than 10 days as a result of injuries on duty, pending examination by the department physician

If an officer is out sick and fails to return to duty within the time specified by the dept physician, what happens ?
His status will be changed to absent without leave
Can the department utilize the departments physician’s examination to initiate retirement or discharge proceedings as appropriate, if the inability to resume employment is indicated?
