RNP-AR Flashcards
This procedure is applicable for Approaches with RNP < 0.3, Missed Approach RNP
1.0 and RF Legs
Required navigation performance (RNP) specification: especificação de navegação baseada em um
sistema de navegação de área que inclui a obrigatoriedade da aeronave possuir sistema de monitoramento e alerta de desvios da rota. Tais rotas são designadas pelos prefixos RNP;
IS 91

Press the APPR pb when all of the following conditions are satisfied:
‐ The aircraft is cleared for approach ‐ TO waypoint is the Final Descent Point.
The approach may be continued in case of single failure of: ‐ GPS (MMR) ‐
FMGS ‐ EFIS DU ‐ MCDU ‐ AP
Discontinue the approach in the following cases: ‐ FINAL APP does not engage ‐ GPS PRIMARY LOST on both NDs ‐
Dual NAV ACCUR DOWNGRAD ‐ FM/GPS POSITION DISAGREE ‐ FMS1/FMS2 POS DIFF ‐ Dual loss of FMGC or dual loss of FINAL APP mode ‐ Dual AP failure if the RNP < 0.3 NM ‐ Loss of GPWS TERRAIN function in case of inconsistencies affecting obstacles or terrain computation ‐ NAV ALT DISCREPANCY
In case of engine failure during departure or a missed approach procedure, the flight crew must take into consideration the bank angle limitation when flying at a speed lower than the maneuvering speed. Turns in the procedure may require bank angle higher than
15 °. Flying with one engine inoperative affects the aircraft lateral performance. The crew should be trained and instructed to disconnect AP should the aircraft deviate from the intended track. This training must consider turning and straight legs as appropriate.
Before takeoff check that NAV is armed. When NAV is indicated active on FMA and at 100 ft select
AP ON. Monitor lateral deviation using the L/DEV on PFD. Callout must be performed when L/DEV reaches ½ dot. If L/DEV increases towards 1 RNP, take over manually using FD and the L/DEV indication to fly back on the intended flight plan and reengage AP as applicable.
Lateral Cross track Error (XTK)……………………….MONITOR ND/PFD Monitor XTK displayed with numeric value on
ND and non-numeric value on PFD (L/DEV).
Do not start the RNP-AR Approach or perform a Go-Around in case
RNP capability is lost due to a system failure or Engine Out.
Announce any deviation in excess of:
• L/DEV : 1 dot or XTK : ½ RNP (whichever occurs first) • V/DEV > ½ dot
Loss of RNP capability due to navigation: • GPS PRIMARY LOST on both NDs •
MAP NOT AVAIL (FMS failure) • FM/GPS POSITION DISAGREE • FMS1/FMS2 POS DIFF • FINAL APP does not engage • Dual NAV ACCUR DOWNGRAD • Dual loss of FMGC or dual loss of FINAL APP mode • Dual AP failure if the RNP < 0.3 NM • NAV ALT DISCREPANCY
Loss of RNP capability due to other failures: • ENGINE OUT
• Total loss of FCU • Loss of both FMGC or dual FMS reset • Inconsistency between the terrain display and one or both FMS FPLN displays • Loss of GPWS TERRAIN function in case of inconsistencies affect-ing obstacles or terrain computation
