When must we use the HUD LOW VISIBILITY TAKEOFF procedure?
Less than 500RVR on runways supported by 300 RVR Takeoff. (USE 10-9B takeoff mins)
Runway Change:
(6 MCP items, 4 CDU items, NAV radios as required, 5 checklist items for RWY change)
6 MCP - (2) CA/FO course bugs (set new runway heading)
(1) Heading bug (set new heading)
(1) Speed bug set new V2
(1) LNAV (deselect or select if different SID)
(1) BARO for engine out altitude
4 CDU - (1) change RWY in the box (add intersection if necessary (x/zy)
(1) HUD parameters for new rwy
(1) input new SID, if required, if not ensure the SID legs didn’t change
(1) request new TPS is necessary if the new runway isn’t included in the TPS.
5 Checklist items - First 5 items on the Before T/O checklist list need to be checked and re-accomplished if already done prior to the runway change.

When to us VS on short final while on non-ILS?
On a coded “GP” but with no runway in box. Switch to VS before MAP or you will get VNAV disconnect.
