A

Small ridge or raised area of land on the banks of the river made up from sediment from the river

What are the 3 stages of floodplain and levee formation?

A

1) before flood the water is at a normal level
2) during flood thickest sediments are deposited at channel edges and thin sediments are deposited over parts of the floodplain
3) after flood natural levees are built up by my floods
