Pathogenesis

A

-GP of envelope binds to ACH-NICOTONIC RECEPTORS, entering the cell at MOTOR END PLATE. Replicates here.
-Virus enters the neuron, moves retrograde using dyenin protein. Virus finally reaches CNS.

Symptoms

A

General: Fever, Malise, Paresthesia
Encephalopathy: Hydrophobia, foam production because of sever laryngeal spasm, Saliva production, sweat production.
Paralytic: Paralysis that moves upward.
