MEASLES

A

CCCC = Cough, Conjunctivitis, Coryze, Koplick’s spot.
Fever - 104 F
MaculoPapular Rash starts from face and goes pheriperal.
Rash will become Confluent.

COMPLICATIONS:
1. Pneumonia.
2. SSPENSE [SSPE = SubAcute Sclerosing Pan Encephalitis]

VIRULENCE Factors:
Fusion Proteins - Form MNG cells in lymphoid.
Hemagglutinin.

Tx: No treatment, Vitamin A.

A

Lives in Parotid Salivary Gland - Parotitis.

Lives in Epididymus - Orchiditis
Meningitis [POM]

MMR vaccine covers it.

Virulence Factors: FP, HA, NA.

Attaches to G-protein.
It causes pnemonia, Bronhiolotis. Most COMMON in infants.

Virulence Factors: Fusion Proteins.
Tx: Ribavirin.
