What is responsible parliamentary government
is the formation of the executive within the parliament and its constant accountability to the parliament
What is cabinet secrecy?
A west minister convention of collection ministerial responsibility that requires the deliberations and discussions of cabinet to be confidential.it allows cabinet to reach a single position and presidential as united government
What is cabinet solidarity?
A Westminster convention of collective ministerial responsibility that requires the cabinet to present itself as a united government. all ministers by the convention to publicly support the cabinet’s position on all issues. if a minister cannot publicly support cabinet he or she is required by convention, to resign
Three levels of executive
1.Constitutional formal executive = the Monarch and the Governor General
2.Political or real executive = Prime Minister and Cabinet
3.Administrative executive = Public Service (government departments and workers)
What is a cabinet?
A committee of the executive comprising of the prime minister and his/her senior ministers. It is governed entirely by the convention and has no legal or constitutional authority. Despite this it is the most powerful institution in the system of the government
What cabinet minister repsonsible for?
Cabinet ministers are responsible for major government departments such as treasury, defence, education, health, environment and many more

Who are in charge of major departments for example, The Treasurer
Junior Ministers
Part of the “outer ministry”, assist cabinet ministers with particular areas of their cabinet
