What is the lung root?

What fascial membrane covers the apex of the lung?
Suprapleural membrane
Do the lungs extend above the 1st rib and clavicle? Is this a problem?
Yes - if you break clavicle can injure apex
Why is the left lung shorter and broader?
Space needed for heart
Going superior - anterior - inferior - posterior name the structures in the hilum/root
