What is a dermatome?
An area of skin supplied by a single spinal nerve
At the sternal angle - dermatome C4 lies above dermatome T2 and not C5, why is this?
C5 branches off and supplies the deltoid and upper arm
T2 supplies the brachial plexus and forearm
