Cardiovascular - Wet Room 3 Flashcards
What are the main 2 arteries supplying the heart wall?
Left and right coronary arteries and their branches
What drains the blood from heart muscle?
Cardiac veins draining almost entirely to the coronary sinus then into RA
What do the coronary arteries and cardiac veins lie in and do they lie together or apart?
Lie together in either the AV sulcus or the interventricular sulcus
Name the arteries in the blank spaces
From an anterior view of the heart - name the arteries supplying the right side.
Right coronary artery
From an anterior view of the heart - name the arteries supplying the left side that passes under the auricle and follows the coronary sulcus to the left.
Circumflex artery
From an anterior view of the heart - name the arteries supplying the left lower side of the heart - not passing the auricle.
Left anterior descending artery - LAD
From the posterior side - what artery can be see?
Posterior intraventricular artery
What part of the aorta do all these arteries arise?
Root of the aortic sinus AKA the Coronory ostia
What pair of coronary arteries link up in the coronary sulcus?
Circumflex and right coronary arteries
Name the blanked out veins
What does the great cardiac vein lie beside?
The LAD artery in ther anterior IV groove
What does the middle cardiac vein lie beside?
The posterior intraventricular artery in the posterior IV groove
What does the small cardiac vein lie beside?
Right marginal artery
Where does the coronary sinus lie beside?
The circumflex artery in the coronary/AV sulcus
