1) Trachea: it is a strong tube that is divided into 2 branches that connect to the lungs.
2) epiglottis: this flap of tissue protects you from choking. it closes when you swallow to prevent food from entering the airway.
3) Alveoli: are small thin sacks at the end of the bronchus. Gas exchange takes place here

Air is pulled into and pushed out of the lungs by the muscular diaphragm

The voice box is the LARYNX (connects the pharynx and trachea)
