what causes barrel chest?
Emphysema/ COPD
Percussion:
- dullness
- stony dullness
- hyperesonance
-Dull: consolidation
- Stony dullness: Pleural effusion
- Hyperresonant: increase in air space
Vocal resonance
- Increased: consolidation
- Decreased: Effusion/ Pneumothorax
What is bronchial breathing a sign of?
Consolidation
Fine inspiratory crackles?
Pulmonary oedema
