Q

Steps for the cross experiment

A
  • put 10cm of sodium thiosulphate into a flash
  • put flask over a black cross
  • add 10cm of hydrochloric acid and mix
  • start stopwatch and look down into flask
  • stop clock when csnt see cross
  • redo w dif concentrations of sodium thiosulphate solution
  • repeat again and calculate mean

Gas RoR experiment explained

A
  • put 50cm of hydrochloric acid into flask
  • attack to bung and delivery tube
  • add to a container and a cycliser over the tube
  • add a strip of magnesium and start stopwatch
  • measure vol of gas produced in the cylinder every ten seconds
