What is renal Osteodystrophy ?
A
A complication of chronic Kidney disease that weakens the bones.

How is Renal Osteodystrophy caused ?
A
The kidneys are unable to reabsorb calcium and it is urinated out.
This absence of calcium in the blood is signalled to the parathyroid to produce more parathyroid hormone. In turn increases osteoclastic action.

What are the radiographic appearances of renal osteodystrophy ?
A
The deposition of calcium and phosphorus in the soft tissue.
