• 1547 dissolution of the chantries’ meant money was confiscated raising revenue for the crown
• 1549 1st Act of Uniformity introduced the book of common prayer in English

• 1552 purge of conservative bishops and were replaced with reforms like Nicholas Ridley
• 1552 2nd Act of Uniformity more radical and got rid of more catholic practises e.g. vestments, music
• 1553 42 articles brought in new doctrines, got rid of paying for forgiveness and transubstantiation (never happened as Dudley died)

• 1555 2nd statue of repeal reversed anti papal laws under Henry VIIIs reign
• 1555 onwards, burning of heretics. The book of martyrs recorded the deaths and was written simply so people could easily draw its morals
