What did Henry VIII do immediately after he became King?
A
- Henry abolished conciliar government (which gave the council ability to make decisions) so henry was in control
- immediately he ordered the execution of Empson and Dudley (council learned) to please nobility

A
- To marry Catherine of Aragon
- To re-establish the nobility – but with men his age to play sports with
- Overthrow his fathers foreign policy and was obsessed with invading France

A
- Secure succession with male heir – why he had 6 wives
- Main priority in pleasure and very rarely engaged in policy making but did on an impulsive basis.
- Break from Rome – do divorce first wife.
