A

Lift your shoulders as much as possible, hold for ten seconds. Don’t stop lifting, keep on actively lifting and holding your shoulders. Release your shoulders and exhale, feel the tension leave. Rolling your shoulders is another way.

How do you release tension from head to toe?

A

This is known as progressive relaxation. Close your eyes and focus on tensing and relaxing each muscle group for 2 to 3 seconds. Start with your feet, knees, thighs, rear, chest, arms, hand, neck, jaw and eyes. Maintain deep slow breaths. When tensing breathing through the nose and hold for five seconds breathe out through the mouth and relax/release.
