What does everything that happens during your performance depend on?
Everything that happens while you perform is a result of your preparation. The voice, body and mind need to be prepared and healthy
What is your voice used for?
Your voice is used for day-to-day communication.
What happens to younger vocal folds?
Younger vocal folds or vocal cords are more resilient to for usage. aging requires practice abilities in order to retain a normal voice.
What does poor vocal skills results in?
Poor vocal skills result in diminishing vocal ability.

False. Performers use their voice more intensely than the average person.

- Drink plenty of water

What does drink plenty of water mean?
Moisture is good for your voice. Hydration helps to keep things secretions flowing to lubricate your vocal cords
What does try not to scream or yell mean?
Abusive practices towards your voice. This puts great strain on the lining of your vocal cords
What does don’t smoke mean?
Smoking is a potential risk factor for laryngeal cancer. This causes inflammation of the vocal cords and can make the voice very husky, hoarse or weak
What does use good breath support mean?
Breath flow is the power for your voice. Take time to fill your lungs before you start talking
What does listen to your voice mean?
you need to modify and decrease your voice if you become hoarse. To allow your vocal cords to recover. Pushing your voice word horse can lead to significant problems. If your voice is hoarse frequently it should be evaluated by an otolaryngologists (ear, nose and throat physician)
what Happens when your body is not warmed up?
When your body is not warmed up and tense and remains rigid and limited. Your body needs to be relaxed enough to transition into another physicality and voice

- Treat your body with respect
- Exercise for at least 30 minutes a day
- Stretch, do yoga and breathe
- Sleep
