A

hebden bridge used to be an industrial mill town and was so succesful it was named trouser town but due to the global shift in the 1970s, Hebden bridge became derelict and nearly 1000 houses were listed for demolition
hippies came and moved into the cheap housing and it is now a desirable tourist town

in 1800s was a major port for british empire -west india docks

housed thousands of working class dock men

docks stopped being used and many struggling families moved in due to social housing being built there

then made into a SEZ called canary wharf which attracted many TNCs such as HSBC

hippie lifestyle prominent- lesbian capital of england , has good connection links between manchester and leeds many commuters to media city , won best small market town 2016 , happy valley increased recognition, over 50% of house holds not deprived in any areas.
