What is the initial safety of the RBS-70?
A
End Cap Safety Device; a micro switch that senses if the End Cap has been removed or not
If the End cap is in place the starting circuit of the missile is broken and the missile battery can not be activated

Proximity arming time/distance
A
Inhibition. Target detection signals from the proximity fuze are inhibited before Time of Fire (T0) +1.65 seconds, which corresponds to approximately 250 m of missile flight.

Sustainer motor ignition, speed, burn time
A
The sustainer motor ignites approximately 7 m in front of the launcher, accelerating the missile to in excess of Mach 2 over the 4 second burn time.
