Funtioning
Two Devices lock the rotor in the unarmed position
During initial thrust set back weights in S&A move
rearwards against its spring tension (1 st lock)
Spring loaded second lock rotates on its axis
Lock has an index that locks the rotor out of
alignment
Centrifugal force is used to move the second lock by rotating it and freeing the rotor
Unbalanced rotor is now free to turn under the control of the escapement mechanism
When rotor has moved into the armed position it is lock by the use of an index and the second lock
If set back force or centrifugal force is insufficient to arm the fuze it will move back to the unarmed position and be locked into the unarmed position.
