Add 10cm3 sodium thiosulfate and 40cm3 water to a beaker on a black cross
Add 10cm3 dilute hydrochloric acid
Swirl
See how long until it becomes neutral
Repeat with the following:
20 cm3 sodium thiosulfate + 30 cm3 water
30 cm3 sodium thiosulfate + 20 cm3 water
40 cm3 sodium thiosulfate + 10 cm3 water
50 cm3 sodium thiosulfate + no water

Add 50cm3 2M hydrochloride acid to a 100cm3 beaker and set up the apparatus as followed a measuring cylinder clamped upside down in a trough full of water with a bung leading to a conical flask with the reactants
Add 3cm magnesium ribbon and shut the bung and record the volume of hydrogen gas produced
Repeat with 1 molar
