Q

Why does sleep function need to be considered for patients with Rate Drop Response?

A

When the patient’s rate drops at night, this could cause rate drop response to activate, possibly waking the patient up. Turning sleep function ON prevents this from happening, but also prevents rate drop response from functioning, so if the patient wakes up and has an event, he or she will not be protected.
