Mode Switch Flashcards
1
Q
How does blanked flutter search work?
A
Monitors A-A intervals that may indicate blanked flutter waves. If there are 8 consecutive intervals that are < 2 x TAB and the atrial rate is > 1/2 the mode switch intervention rate, then PVARP is extended. If a P wave is unmasked, the device immediately mode switches. If the pattern persists, this process is repeated every 90 seconds.
