random eps 1 Flashcards
Rollback (fuel min flow)
*1. Condition lever - FULL INCREASE RPM
*2. EPL - ADVANCE TO DESIRED POWER SETTING
WARNING: a generator that fails with extreme heat could lead to loss of useful power, EPL may not be effective. Close proximity to FCU may cause fuel to vapor-lock.
CAUTION: binding of EPL may occur in freezing temperatures
NOTE: using EPL maintain N1 above 65% to improve engine response and ensure gen stays on line.
IF POWER AVAILABLE INSUFFICIENT TO PEL..
*3. EPL- DISCONNECT
*4. Engine failure - EXECUTE
WARNING: if engine so underpowered high rate of descent occur, any delay in feathering prop may result in insufficient altitude to reach landing site. Not recommended to delay feather in landing configuration below landing altitude.
NOTE: if power is sufficient to maintain a rate of decent < feathered condition (600-800 fpm clean) consider keeping the engine running till field made
